Course Winner Lostintranslation the Pick in the JLT Chase

Lostintranslation looks to be the pick in the JLT Chase, at a course where he has already won and shown good form. I think what we saw from him in that run shows us that he will certainly relish the course and the stamina test that it has at the end of it.

He beat Defi Du Seuil on that day, but was unable to confirm placings with the horse when they met again at Sandown, which is a much flatter track. I think Defi Du Seuil is more of a speedster, and the Arkle was mentioned for him, but with Cheltenham bringing stamina into play more, I see Lostintranslation coming out on top out of those two.

Vinndication was back in third at Sandown, and with the stiffer test here at Cheltenham, I see Lostintranslation finishing even further in front of him this time around. He also worked poorly and wasn’t going to run this week, until a U-turn by the yard, which raises further doubts over him.

Real Steel looks to have the best Irish form on offer, but I don’t think any of the Irish runners look up to the standard of the British ones and I am happy to dismiss them based on that.

Two runs from Lostintranslation this season, one at Cheltenham and one at Sandown have shown us that this horse is going to relish the test in the JLT. There is little to choose between him and Defi Du Seuil on form, but with the track suiting Lostintranslation more, I am more than happy to make him my pick in the opening race on Thursday’s card.
