Talented Mare If You Say Run Can Continue Good Start for Nicholls Yard

The Paul Nicholls yard has made a very good start to the season, they were in amongst the winners yesterday including Oleg who was tipped up on our page as a horse to back yesterday. We are sticking with the talented trainer on Thursday when he sends runners to Worcester. The best of those looks to be his very talented mare If You Say Run, who just like Oleg yesterday is coming here for her first run over the bigger obstacles and she is fancied to make it a winning one.

She was pulled up on her final start of last season at Cheltenham, and not too long after Paul Nicholls gave her a wind op which will hopefully clear that up. There is no trainer better than Nicholls at identifying and giving successful wind ops to horses, he has a great record with those that have them done and hopefully If You Say Run is the next horse he has to benefit from one.

Elsewhere before that last season we saw this horse running in good company, she was never out of the first three in her other runs last season, winning a handicap and placing in both Listed and Grade Two company. All of those pieces of form make her a class above the horses she faces here and chasing debut and assuming she jumps around safely, she has the class to take care of this field and pick up a win.

Her nearest challenger in the race looks to be Duhallow Gesture but strictly on ratings she has plenty to find. If You Say Run is rated 10lb better than her, and with all horses running off the same weight, this is quite an advantage.

With this on her side, we are backing If You Say Run to make a winning chase debut before going onto run in the mares chase races we have at Listed and Grade Two level just like we saw her run over hurdles last season.

It looks as though Paul Nicholls has found a nice opportunity for the horse first time up, and we are backing him to continue his winning run here.
